Robert McMullen, born on October 9, 1956, in Rangely, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August 24 2024, in Mathis, Texas. He was a dedicated family man, known for his loving spirit and unwavering support of those around him.
Robert honorably served his country in the United States Navy where he demonstrated a commitment to service that would resonate throughout his life. His military background instilled in him values of discipline and respect, shaping him into the person that many came to know and admire.
In addition to his service, Robert had a profound love for spending time with family and friends. His greatest joy came from creating cherished memories and nurturing relationships with those he held dear. Whether it was a simple gathering or a grand celebration, Robert was always at the heart of the occasion, sharing laughter and kindness.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Shirley McMullen; his wife, Judy Nettleton-McMullen; and his daughters, MaryAnn, Paula, Crystal, and Kimberly Nettleton. Robert also leaves behind his son, Eddie Vance, and a host of adoring grandchildren, including Caitlin Cordova, Alannah Torres, and six others, as well as his first great-grandson, Jamison Lovell, whom he was blessed to meet.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Joseph R. McMullen. He will be remembered not only for his gentle heart but also for the enduring legacy of love he left with family and friends. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
