Roberto Zarate

Roberto Zarate, a gentle soul known for his exceptional talent, passed away on July 5, 2024, in Mathis, Texas. He was born on July 20, 1973, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Roberto dedicated his career to working at his family's Auto Paint and Body Shop, where his artistic flair shone through in everything he did. His passion for art was evident since his younger years, and he created lasting memories through his creativity.

Described as humble and quiet, Roberto touched the lives of many with his kind spirit and thoughtful demeanor. His presence brought a sense of calm and peace to those around him.

Preceded in death by: his father Francisco Zarate, mother Berta Ortiz Zarate, maternal and paternal grandparents. 

He is survived by his grieving family: Roberto leaves behind his sister Mary Lou (Thomas) Reyes, brother John (Anne) Zarate, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish the memories they shared with him.

Services to honor and remember Roberto will be held at Winsteads' Funeral Home in Mathis, Texas. A Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM.

Roberto Zarate's legacy of artistry and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
