Ronald Vernon Tate, fondly known as Ronnie, was born on December 12, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He passed away on September 7, 2024, in Mathis, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and humor that touched many lives.
Ronnie graduated from Ray High School and continued his education at Del Mar College, where he studied Business Administration.
In addition to his professional life, Ronnie served with honor in the United States Army. He was drafted into the US Army on July 30, 1965. He attended boot camp in Fort Polk, Louisiana. After completing boot camp he was stationed in Hawaii, where he served his whole military duration. Ronnie completed his time in the Army as a Sergeant, until he was discharged on July 29, 1971.
His professional career began at JCB Equipment, where he dedicated 25 years of his life to field sales. Ronnie demonstrated exceptional talent in his role, and was recognized as the top salesman for several months. His hard work and dedication eventually led him to a management position, showcasing not only his expertise in sales but also his leadership skills.
Known for his kind and welcoming nature, Ronnie had a remarkable ability to make others feel at ease. His humor and gentle spirit made a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Ronnie is survived by his spouse, Mary Jane Robertson; his brother, Gary (Gail) Tate of Sandia, Texas; and his sister, Ginger (Glen) Whittington of Corpus Christi, Texas. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Ronnie's passing is deeply felt by his family and friends, who will remember him not only for his accomplishments but also for the genuine warmth he shared with everyone around him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Coastal Bend State Veteran Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
