Roy Dale Cross

Roy Dale Cross, age 73, of Mathis, Texas passed away on December 18, 2022.

Roy is survived by his wife, Ella Nora Cross, his children, Tina Botello of Ingleside, Melissa Cross of Corpus Christi, and Westin (Kellie) Cross of Utah; Stepchildren, Carlos Rene (Jodi) Garza of Round Rock, and Daniel (Audrey) Garza of Round Rock; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grand child.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Junah V. Cross; sisters Patricia Broussard and Lavana Myane; and grandson Dylan A. Cross.

Roy was born on June 25, 1949, in Kenedy, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He owned and operated PGM, an oil field service company, in Laredo, Texas for over 20 years. He was also co-owner of Blue Horizon Services in Bryan, Texas.

He was an avid hunter and a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. He also enjoyed cooking and barbecuing for his friends, family, and employees, and spending time on his lakeside patio.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the Dobie Funeral Home in Mathis, Texas from 3:00-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28^th at 11:00am at Dobie Funeral Home in Mathis, with military burial to follow at Coastal Bend Veteran’s Cemetery in Corpus Christi at 1:30pm.
