Sarita Castillo Flores was born March 1, 1931 to Maria and Genaro Castillo in Corpus Christi, Texas and died peacefully in Portland, Texas on February 7, 2014, she was 82.
On October 31, 1954 she married the love of her life, Leandro (Sone’) H. Flores from Taft, Texas. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and a member of the Distinguished Order of the Guadalupanas. She enjoyed lunches with her friends at the Senior Center and game days, dominos and bingo were her favorite games. She was a part of a very close knit family of friends that she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Sone’ and her parents Maria and Genaro, and brothers Genaro (Gene) Jr., and Julio Castillo.
Sarita leaves behind to cherish her memories daughters, Maria Belinda (Joaquin) Galan and Linda (Tim) McAdoo, five grandchildren, Melissa (Larry) Dixon, Robert (Rosemary) Juarez Jr., Olivia Galan, Amanda (Gabriel) Davila, Christina Galan, Ethan and Evan McAdoo; and five great-grandchildren; sisters Rebecca Rios, Tommie Miller, Rachel Lopez, Amelia Buitron; and one brother Rogelio Castillo We would like to thank Dr. Lee Sang and his staff, Trisun Coastal Palms in Portland, Texas and Christus Spohn Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Interment to follow at the Palms Memorial Gardens.
