Tupou Schmidt, 47, from Ingleside, Texas has moved on from our world for a more harmonious place in the late evening of April 29th, 2023. She was born in Salt Lake City on September 8th, 1975 to Cindy and Darrell Schmidt.
Tupou is survived by her son, Anthony Fisher; sisters, Jessica and Crystal-Rose; and parents Cindy and Darrell Schmidt.
One of the first things so many noticed about Tupou was her inability to cause harm to anyone or anything. Her disdain for violence towards living creatures, both human and animal, was only outweighed by her compassion and empathy to which she emphasized by being a vegetarian as her belief that an animal’s life was worth more than just to be food; a principle that she never broke. To further complement this, Tupou was known to rescue lost or hurt animals by the dozens: from cats and dogs, to turtles and birds.
Tupou lived her life seemingly stuck in a simpler time, listening to music and watching the movies from her childhood during the 80’s and 90’s. Believing that a time long passed to be more accepting and righteous in terms of living life to the fullest, so much so she raised her son just as she herself had been raised, in her terms “old school.” Alongside her love of Metal, Rock and horror movies, her dreams flowed of wondrous fantastical lands filled with castles, fairies and her most beloved of all, dragons.
Never was there a harder worker who loved what she did. Tupou worked in the food industry most of her adult life, serving as a waitress for almost two decades making friends not only with coworkers but many of her customers as well. Always being as best of service as she could was of the utmost importance to her. Working so many long days, she earned a right to be manager, keeping everything in tip-top shape as she continued making lifelong friends. Tupou was always professional and known to be orderly and just.
The passing on of Tupou Schmidt will be felt by so many dozens of people she touched throughout her life for years to come. Her empathy, compassion, loyalty and love was worth more to people than the largest of diamonds. Without her, the world is a smaller and lesser place. We can all take solace in the fact that she is in a better place, a place where her presence only makes it that much greater.
