Vesta Odom Wostal went home to our Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the age of 73. She was born in Three Rivers, Texas on April 21, 1948, to Vestal Byron Odom and Mary Bernice Goynes. Preceded in death by her husband, Larry Eugene Wostal; parents Vestal and Mary Bernice Odom; brothers, Valter Odom, L.D. Odom, Byron Odom, and Kenneth Odom.
Left to cherish Mrs. Wostal’s loving memory are, Children, Tamara Moehr, Cheri Hennesay husband Bryan, Teri Ressmann husband Darryl, Kimberly Ammon husband David, and Lisa Paschall husband James; 14 Grandchildren, Tiffany, Chelsea, Raymond, Hailey, Justin, Brandon, Joshua, Derek, Kelli, Taylor, Brooke, Abigail, Chloe, Kaelyn; 3 Great-Grandchildren, Hunter, Harley, Alayna; Brothers, Rocky Odom wife Myrna, Tom Odom wife Linda, Carie Odom; Sisters, Mary Ann McMullin, Theresa Hamilton husband John, Margaret Strickland; 1 Aunt and God Mother Theresa Goynes Stolte; and by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Vesta had a devotion to our Lord and our Blessed Mother. She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church, San Antonio, TX, and previously Most Precious Blood and St. Pius X Catholic Churches in Corpus Christi, TX.
She was also a hard-working lady, she worked at Tower Movie Theater, Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, and Randolph Air Force Base as a Civilian Personnel Staffing Specialist, she also worked at Lockheed Martin as a object Talk Software Program Analyst. She retired and kept going back to work. In March 2018 she retired for the final time.
Her family will greatly miss her, especially her closing phrase after every phone call. “God Bless You! I Love you!”

Visitation will be at 5 p.m. and Rosary at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Dobie Funeral Home in Mathis, TX. Funeral Mass at St. John of the Cross @ 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, followed by interment to St. John of the Cross Cemetery in Orange Grove, TX.
