William "Bill" Rogers Gillenwater

William (Bill) Gillenwater, age 82, passed away December 31, 2022. He is survived by his wife Sharon, his brother Joe Gillenwater, his sister Anna Jones, his daughters Candace Stout and Sandra Gillenwater and his grandchildren Casey Coble, Justin Arwood and Taner Farmer. Bill was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Bill spent most of his life driving a semi-truck over the road. After retirement he worked in the audio video duplication business. He will be remembered for his perpetual smile. He knew no stranger and loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. His generosity and kindness were well known as well as his bear hugs. He will be sorely missed by many. 

 A Celebration of Life will be held at the St. Stephens Lutheran Church on January 13, 2023 @ 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church (619 Lang Road PO Box 668 Portland, TX 78374) or to St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital.
