Willie Glenn Hagemann went to his heavenly home on February 17, 2024 at 86 years old. He was born on a farm in Wilson County to Willie and Luray (Fertsch) Hagemann. As a young boy the family moved to Pettus, TX to be where the work was. Glenn (as he was known) graduated from Pettus High School in 1956. He was so proud. Not so much that he graduated, but that it was from Pettus. He was proud of his home town. On March 27, 1960 he married June Kirchner in Victoria, TX. They would have had their 64th Anniversary this year. They have made their home in Pettus, Kenedy, Raymondville, Beaumont, McAllen and Portland (1977). He was active in church and in his children and grandchildren’s school activities. He worked in the Drilling Fluids business. He started out as a truck driver, then Mud Engineer and worked up to Regional Manager. He was well known in South Texas for his engineering ability. His work ethic was one of the best.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Willie and Luray Hagemann, his brothers and sister-in-law’s, Ed and Pat Hagemann and Earl and Clytie Hagemann.
He is survived by his devoted wife June, 3 children, Bruce Hagemann of Key West, FL, Sherri (Arlen) Miller of Portland, TX and Brian (Audrey) Hagemann of Portland, TX. 4 Grandchildren, Ashleigh (Travis) Post of Fannin, TX, Matthew (Sebbie) Miller of Victoria, TX, Austin (Megan) Hagemann of Sinton, TX and Amber (Nainoa) Bean of Nederland, TX. 8 Great Grandchildren, Brooke and Landon Post, Hudson Miller, Harper and Luke Hagemann and Leona, Kayce and Roman Bean.
Glenn loved his family, camping on the Frio River, fishing, hunting, Gregory-Portland Wildcat sports and a cold beer. He was very opinionated and if you worked with him or had any kind of relationship with him he yelled at you a time or two.
